Husband Beats You Up: Ocean Springs Divorce Lawyer
I’ve read the baloney from some people that it doesn’t matter if you can’t get an Ocean Springs divorce if your husband beats you up.

This genuis Ty would do things like jumping over a couch, grabbing her neck and choking her.
He’d push her, grab her head, pull her hair, and various other things.
Let’s see what else this guy would do: Ty jerked her purse off her arm hard enough that it broke the handle on the purse and caused her wrist to swell.
This little piece of happy marriage ended up in a doctor’s visit for Propst.
And to add icing on the cake, he then attacked their kid which resulted in the police getting involved in the attack.
He even broke down a door to get to the kid to enforce his petty little idea of control on his kid.
Do you think she should get a divorce because of this?
Nope.
The Chancery Court Judge dismissed the case and said there wasn’t enough evidence to prove habitual cruel and inhuman treatment.
When the Mississippi Legislature decided in it’s infinite wisdom to deny spouses the right to get a divorce because of domestic violence, that means you’ve got to get one for habitual cruel and inhuman treatment.
This means you’ve got to jump through more legal gymnastic hoops than Mary Lou Retton.

Now, the Supreme Court reversed the chancery court judge but who in their right mind wants to spend thousands of dollars AGAIN for yet another trial that you might not win????
AND, I’m going to post the opinion for you from the Supreme Court but pay very careful attention. What I mean is look at the votes at the bottom of the opinion.
You have THREE Supreme Court Justices agreeing with the chancery court judge.
There were only FOUR Supreme Court Justices that voted FOR the physicially abused spouse to send it back to chancery court to see if she would win a divorce on habitual cruel and inhuman treatment.
That is VERY close.
